Eyes so woeful
Heart displaced
A shining opal
I yearn to give chase
I want to aquire
From it’s prison cell
Pluck that fire
Make it expel
All pain cast apon it
From harrowing hurts
I beg to aquit
Before it reverts
To unending sorrow
I am better than that
So many tomorrows
I have to combat
Yesterdays colored blue
To a future awake
So much ado
My heart needs a break
From losses and sadness
To gain what is mine
Cast away the badness
Leave the hurt behind
Love with no demanding
In the eyes that can see
My soul is expanding
It needs to break free
Transcending past pain
Beginning anew
Longing to attain
What it sees in you

Like a whirlwind
Blowing circles
Love divine

Limerance Addled
Heartbeat fast when
Infatuation
Walks the Line

Deep obsession
Feeds attraction
Intrusive thinking
On the mind

When the ceiling
Crashes under
Reciprocation
Did unwind

Repeating patterns
Always aching
End the cycle
Heed the signs

Look for feeling
In the other
Give it shelter
Grow with time

Pick the one
To last forever
Walk don’t run and
You will find

Was this destiny?
When I looked into your eyes
You held me there
I saw my ending

Was this meant to be?
The way you caressed my soul
Looking deep inside
My heart was trembling

Was this going to be?
Another shattered Illusion
Creating dreams that
Would just destroy me

Was this reality?
Fear tore me from those eyes
Afraid of losing you
Before beginning

The emptyness will thrive
In order to stand on your own
The heart must still survive

Trying to see clearly
Through the blurry veil of tears
No longer does he stand beside you
No longer holds you near

You feel life has no meaning
You no longer see the shore
In waves your tossed and battered
Since he sauntered out that door

But understand that though waves rise
They will always calm and then
You will once again float gently
Love will find you once again
